Ball Distribution & Home/Away Status:

Softballs & score cards will be handed out by the umpire prior to the start of each game of the night.

Run Rule (AKA Mercy Rule)

15 runs after 4.5 or 5 innings.  If the home team is ahead by 15 runs after the visiting team has completed their "at bats" for the 4th inning or beyond, the game is over.  If the visiting team is ahead by 15 runs after the home team has completed their "at bats" in the same inning, the game is over.

League Champions:

A league champion will be determined based on record at the end of the season. Due to your league having an unbalanced league, we will determine the league champion based on the 1st recorded meeting of each team.  Please see the rules for all aspect of declaring a league champion such as ties, etc.

League Championship – (Tie Breaker Procedures):

Here is how MSCR will determine what team is the League Champion, or what teams will play in a Championship game:

MSCR Fall Softball doesn't have playoff games.  Instead teams that tie for the best overall record will be co-champions!

League Administration:

MSCR reminds you that the games are meant to provide a fun, recreational activity - good sportsmanship and respect toward fellow players and game officials is a program expectation.  Players or fans unable to uphold these standards risk future participation in the program. MSCR thanks you in advance for your cooperation!
