This year marks MSCR's 100th year of recreation. Softball was the first organized sport MSCR offered to the Madison Community so thank you for being apart of history!
Your league is a 12 team league. You will play a round robin schedule. The team with the best overall record will be the league champion.

Non-Discrimination:
MSCR is the public recreation department and welcomes players of all races, genders and abilities. Derogatory comments toward a player or umpire based on race, gender expression or disabilities will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the program and/or facility.
Ball Distribution:
Softballs & score cards will be handed out by the umpire prior to the start of each game of the night.
Game Times:
This league has a 6:30, 7:30 or 8:30 game start time. There is also a 55 minute time limit per game. No new inning will start after the 55 minute limit unless the score is tied.

Home Run Rule
Each team is limited to 1 over the fence home run per inning. Additional hits over the fence (in fair territory) beyond the 1 per inning will be counted as an out.
Run Rule (AKA Mercy Rule)
Before the time limit expires, a game will be over after 5 innings (4 and 1/2 innings if the home team leads), if either team leads by 15 runs. Note: if the visiting team leads by 15 runs after 5 and 1/2 innings, or 6 and 1/2 innings, the home team will be allowed to begin its' at bat.
After the time limit expires, the game is over immediately if either team is leading by 15 runs; the half inning is not completed.
