Thank you for choosing MSCR Softball!
Your league is a 9 team league. Your league will have games across 2 diamonds and there are multiple nights where teams will play double headers. We have tried to place double headers on the same diamond (Goodman) where possible. On 6/5 multiple teams will have a double header; there will be two 8:30 games. Please check your schedule carefully.
Round I will be a seven week round robin schedule. After Round I, teams will be divided into one of two divisions, "A" or "B". One division will have 4 teams while the other will have 5. The division placement will depend on the records of the teams in an effort to balance play.
Round 2 will be a three week round robin schedule played within each division. The winners of each division in Round 2 will be the league champions.
LEAGUE CHAMPIONS:
Division A: Sconnie
Division B: Phaze Electric
Division A: Kenny's Gang, Gunderson Funeral Home, Sconnie, Wilsons.
*NOTE 1: Division A has 4 teams and will play 3 games each in the 2nd half
Division B: Phaze Electric, J & J Club, Slices, Locker Room Guys, Wilson's Bar Nutz.
**NOTE 2: Division B has 5 teams and will play 4 games each in the 2nd half.
Non-Discrimination:
MSCR is the public recreation department and welcomes players of all races, genders and abilities. Derogatory comments toward a player or umpire based on race, gender expression or disabilities will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the program.
Ball Distribution:
Softballs & score cards will be handed out by the umpire prior to the start of each game of the night.
Game Times:
Most leagues have a 6:30, 7:30 or 8:30 game start time. There is also a 55 minute time limit per game. No new inning will start after the 55 minute limit unless the score is tied. We ask that once your game is finished that you gather your belongings and go visit a local establishment, many of whom have generously sponsored MSCR softball teams!

Home Run Rule
Each team is limited to 1 over the fence home run per inning. Additional hits over the fence (in fair territory) beyond the 1 per inning will be counted as an out.
Run Rule (AKA Mercy Rule)
Before the time limit expires, a game will be over after 5 innings (4 and 1/2 innings if the home team leads), if either team leads by 15 runs. Note: if the visiting team leads by 15 runs after 5 and 1/2 innings, or 6 and 1/2 innings, the home team will be allowed to begin its' at bat.
After the time limit expires, the game is over immediately if either team is leading by 15 runs; the half inning is not completed.
League Administration:
MSCR reminds you that the games are meant to provide a fun, recreational activity - good sportsmanship and respect toward fellow players and game officials is a program expectation.
